1. Overview
Nhuga Trading Guard ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension developed by Nhuga that monitors mouse movement, click patterns, and cursor velocity on trading websites you choose, in order to detect signs of overtrading or emotionally driven behavior.
This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension accesses, how it is used, and what is never collected or sent anywhere.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
The Extension does not collect or transmit any of the following:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Financial information, account details, or trade history
- Passwords, credentials, or authentication tokens
- Browsing history or URLs visited on any website
- Screen content, keystrokes, or clipboard data
- IP addresses or device identifiers
- Any data sent to Nhuga's servers or any third-party server
3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The Extension stores the following data exclusively in your browser's local storage
(chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your device.
- Configured trading site URL — the website address you enter in the popup
- Alert settings — your chosen alert actions (overlay, sound, cooldown, log)
- Sensitivity level — Low / Medium / High preference
- Alert log — timestamps and stress scores of past alerts, stored only on your device
- Monitoring state — whether monitoring is active or stopped
All stored data is cleared when you uninstall the Extension or manually clear Chrome's extension storage. You can also remove it anytime by clicking "Stop Monitoring" and clearing extension data from Chrome settings.
4. Behavioral Data Analyzed in Real Time
While monitoring is active on your chosen trading site, the Extension temporarily analyzes the following signals in memory only:
- Mouse cursor position and velocity (pixels per millisecond)
- Direction change frequency (turns per second)
- Mouse click rate (clicks per minute)
These signals are used only to calculate a real-time stress score displayed in the popup. Raw position data is never stored, never logged, and never transmitted. It is discarded automatically after a 10-second rolling window.
5. Permissions Explained
The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:
- storage — to save your settings and alert log locally on your device
- tabs — to detect when you navigate to your configured trading site and to open social/contact links in new tabs from the popup
- scripting — to inject the monitoring script into your chosen trading site when you press Start
- host_permissions (<all_urls>) — required so the Extension can activate on whichever trading platform URL you configure; it only activates on the specific site you enter
6. Third-Party Services
The Extension does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data processing services. No data is shared with any external party under any circumstances.
7. Children's Privacy
The Extension is intended for adult traders. It does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL and the "Last Updated" date at the top will be changed. Continued use of the Extension after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
